Hello, there changemaker!

As a believer in the power of authentic narrative, I’m here to share a bit of my story that you may connect with in a powerful way.

In my mid-twenties, I was already burnt out, working 50+ hours a week in a career-track that I had fallen in (and out of) love with in less time than it took me to get my degree. While I was going through the motions, I knew that something was off. I was faking happiness and selling out on my greater fulfillment for the sake of security and comfort.

After coming head-to-head with this realization, I made the bold decision to quit my stable University job and move across the country to Portland, Oregon – a city I’d always dreamed of calling “home” – where I could pursue my passion for coaching at a new start-up.

A new energy and vitality emerged in me that I had been craving. I finally felt alive and on track!

And then, less than a year later, I experienced another transition. My “dream job” turned out not to be so dreamy, and I again found myself at another cross-roads: Do I go back to my former career-track lifestyle and hustle my way onto a stable path? Or was I brave enough to stay true to my calling and step out into the unknown landscape of entrepreneurship?

Fast forward to present-day, just a few years later.

Since standing at that pivotal cross-roads, I’ve navigated through loads of transition, including:

  • Choosing to lean into the discomfort and launch my own coaching business

  • Falling in love with my best friend of 20-years and getting married six months later

  • Moving to the Middle East together to volunteer for a year in local schools in Amman, Jordan, while continuing to grow my business

  • Transitioning back to create a new home in Northern California and starting a family

  • Serving in my local community at the TEDxSacramento Event Coordinator to continue to give back and make connections

  • Seeking our community needs and launching The Makers Place™ - the first coworking space with onsite childcare in the Greater Sacramento Region - to serve even more families.

More About Leslie

Yes, it was scary to move forward and say “yes” to change.

Yes, it was a lot of HARD WORK to create, build, maintain, and grow a thriving practice while being in a place of dynamic transition, especially while living and working abroad, and now as a parent of three small children running multiple businesses.

And yes, I would do it all over again, just so I can help YOU navigate your own transitions.

Whether you’re a fellow entrepreneur or are trying to decide what path feels “right” for you, I am excited to hear your story.
